A small Kennebunk child was fighting for her life over the weekend after nearly drowning in a hotel pool, authorities said.
Fire Chief Justin Cooper and a firefighter responded Saturday morning to the Hampton Inn pool off Independence Drive in Kennebunk for a report of a young girl in cardiac arrest and not breathing.
“Personnel provided immediate and extensive resuscitative efforts on scene,” McCann said.
“The patient was transported by ambulance to MaineHealth Biddeford and subsequently flown by medical helicopter to MaineHealth Portland, where she remains in critical condition,” he added.
