A fitness center has announced it’s vacating the Maine Mall, becoming the shopping mecca’s fourth loss in three months.

The Orangetheory Fitness location at the South Portland mall is planning to close permanently on April 10, reports WCYY.com.

The Maine Mall Orangetheory is inviting all current members to continue their fitness at the Westbrook location, part of the Rock Row development.

Orangetheory Fitness initially opened at the Maine Mall more than seven years ago in what was once the Old Country Buffet space.

Leggings Home departed the Maine Mall at the beginning of the year.

Francesca’s and Eddie Bauer announced their store closures due to bankruptcy last month.

“For 2026, it has been a challenging year for some known brands at the Maine Mall,” says Joey Dionne, brand manager for WCYY.
