Billionaire’s Favorite Nikki Haley Fundraises off ‘Rich Men of Richmond”

Going into Wednesday’s GOP Presidential Debate in Milwaukee, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley is fundraising off the YouTube sensation Anthony Oliver.

The former governor has the same problem as other Republican presidential hopefuls. In the polls, she is competitive head-to-head with President Joseph R. Biden Jr., but she trails frontrunner President Donald J. Trump in the race for the GOP nomination.

In the days leading up to her taking the debate stage, she sent this fundraising appeal to supporters:

D.C. elites HATE the new viral song, “Rich Men North Of Richmond.”

We love it because it tells the TRUTH about why Washington needs a shake up! → Americans are getting taxed to no end. → Our welfare system pays healthy Americans to sit on the couch. → WOKE policies are being forced on our kids. → D.C. politicians are serving the political class over the American people!

Chip in $7 or more to help Nikki shake up Washington & we’ll send you this drink cooler: https://bit.ly/3s8LTPI

This song represents the frustration felt by MILLIONS of Americans, and it represents WHY Nikki Haley is running to be our next president.

By contributing just $7, you can help Nikki win this fight AND get our limited-edition “Not a Rich Man” drink cooler: https://bit.ly/3s8LTPI America is always worth fighting for.

Thank you for joining us in this fight today!

Oliver hit has more than 30 million views on its original posting at radiowv, and he has just become the first singer to record a Billboard No. 1 on the Hot 100 without any previous chart history.

Haley does not line up with Oliver at first glance, and the former Boeing board member might be more comfortable with the rich men north of Richmond.

In October 2021, Forbes reported that Haley’s Stand Up for America PAC was supported by 16 billionaires and seven billionaires’ spouses.

Meanwhile, Oliver is still giving free shows and turning away wealth that chases singers whose songs top the charts.

People in the music industry give me blank stares when I brush off 8 million dollar offers. I don’t want 6 tour buses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. I don’t want to play stadium shows, I don’t want to be in the spotlight. I wrote the music I wrote because I was suffering with mental health and depression. These songs have connected with millions of people on such a deep level because they’re being sung by someone feeling the words in the very moment they were being sung.

Haley bought in 2018 a $2.4 million mansion roughly 20 miles south of Charleston on Kiawah Island. The home has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a four-car garage, a Sub-Zero wine cooler, a swimming pool and a guest house.

The following year, Oliver bought his own homestead.

“In 2019, I paid $97,500 for the property and still owe about $60,000 on it. I am living in a 27′ camper with a tarp on the roof that I got off of craigslist for $750.”

Strange bedfellows, indeed.
