In a CNN interview Saturday, Former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci defended the use of masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on individual basis in response to a study that claims masks are ineffective.
“When you’re talking about the effect on the pandemic as a whole, the data is less strong,” Fauci, the former White House chief medical advisor told CNN’s Michael Smerconish. “But when you talk about an individual basis of someone protecting themselves… There’s no doubt that there’s many studies that show that there is an advantage [to masks].”
The study was released in January of this year by the British health database Cochrane
“There is just no evidence that [masks] make any difference,” Tom Jefferson, an Oxford epidemiologist and the study’s lead author told the New York Times in February. “Full stop.”
In response to whether or not N-95 masks were more effective, Jefferson said that it “Makes no difference—none of it.”
In March, Cochrane released a statement saying that the study was being misinterpreted and that it was inaccurate to claim that the study shows that “masks don’t work,” despite the lead author of the study telling the Times that it was the “most rigorous and comprehensive analysis” of scientific studies on the efficacy of masks, and that its results were unambiguous.
Amid a slight uptick in COVID hospitalizations and alarm bells being sounded over a new COVID variant called “BA.2.86,” Fauci told Smerconish he is “concerned that people will not abide by recommendations.”
“I would hope that if we get to the point that the volume of cases is such and organizations like the CDC recommends–CDC does not mandate anything–recommends that people wear masks, I would hope that people abide by that recommendation and take into account the risks to themselves and their families,” Fauci said.

Fauci along with all these other dictator wannabees can stick those masks where the sun don’t shine. Masks are DANGEROUS for some of us.
I hope the masses wake up and recognize that the COVID-19 PLANDEMIC was created on purpose.
They (The Elites) were testing how quickly they could get the masses to comply with with their demands. This is all part of the Great Reset (The New World Order).
It is going to happen again. The masses need to use their God given critical thinking skills and push back by not complying.
