An Auburn couple is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after police found $24,000 worth of illegal drugs at a woman’s apartment, Auburn Police announced Friday.
On Thursday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers from the Auburn Police Department’s Proactive Community Enforcement (PACE) Unit conducted a follow-up at an apartment at 21 Spring St. in Auburn as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking at the residence, police said.
The renter of the Spring Street apartment, 28-year-old Sabrina Harps, was subject to bail conditions from a previous arrest requiring her to submit to searches for drugs and alcohol, according to Auburn Police.
Harps’ boyfriend, 33-year-old Daniel Williams, was also present at the apartment when officers contacted Harps inside of the apartment and conducted a search.
During a search of the apartment, officers seized narcotics worth an estimated $24,000, including over 200 grams of fentanyl, oxycodone pills, Suboxone strips, and drug packaging materials.
Police also found ammunition, handgun magazines, digital scales, and two blenders believed by police to have been used to process fentanyl with adulterants to increase profits.
According to Auburn Police, Harps was convicted in federal court in 2015 for illegal use credit cards.
Williams, police said, was convicted in 2009 in New York for robbery, for aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs in Maine in 2015, in 2019 for domestic violence assault, and in 2023 for felony domestic violence assault with priors — a charge for which he was on probation at the time of the search.
Both Harps and Williams are prohibited under federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition due to their prior convictions.
Harps and Williams were arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking scheduled drugs, Class A, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, Class C.
Harps was additionally charged with violation of conditions of release, and is being held without bail until she makes an appearance before a judge, police said.
Williams, although being held on $25,000 cash bail for his new charges, is being held without bail due to his probation officer placing a violation on him.
Harps’ boyfriend, 33-year-old Daniel Williams, figured to get out of New York City and come to Maine where the pickings are easier and there’s more desperate, ugly, and fat white women.
