Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to acknowledge an endorsement from his former Attorney General (AG) Bill Barr, while mocking him for his disagreements with the former president.

“Wow! Former A.G. Bill Barr, who let a lot of great people down by not investigating Voter Fraud in our Country, has just Endorsed me for President despite the fact that I called him “Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy” (New York Post!). Based on the fact that I greatly appreciate his wholehearted Endorsement, I am removing the word “Lethargic” from my statement. Thank you Bill,” said Trump.

Earlier this month, Barr spoke out on Fox News against the prosecution Trump is facing in New York, decrying the case as politically motivated and calling it an “abomination.”

During the interview, Barr issued a reluctant endorsement of Trump.

“I’ve said all along, you know, given two bad choices, I think its my duty to pick the person I think would do the least harm to the country,” said Barr, “I will vote the Republican ticket.”

“Trump may be playing Russian roulette, but continuation of the Biden administration is national suicide.”

Trump’s sarcastic response served as a reminder of what caused their disagreements initially, and sarcastically called out Barr’s reluctance to support him.

Donald Trump and AG Barr have been political enemies since Barr denied Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was influenced in favor of President Joe Biden through voter fraud.

“I told him that all this stuff was bulls— about election fraud. And, you know, it was wrong to be shoveling it out the way his team was,” said Barr in a 2022 interview with NBC News.

Barr has since been a vocal critic of Trump, even appearing on NPR to criticize the former president and tentatively support his prosecution for retaining classified documents after the end of his presidency.

“He brought it entirely on himself, and through a pattern of conduct that is also typical of Trump, which is going to excess and doing reckless things with the idea that he can get away with it,” said Barr speaking to NPR.

He also expressed his support for the FBI raid which seized classified documents from Trump’s home.

Barr is a deep sate stooge — he was dishonest to pretend otherwise — he’s disingenuous now.

Trump was just responding in kind. Voting for the person who will do “the least harm” and voting reluctantly for “the Republican ticket” is hardly an endorsement. Barr is not a good guy. If he wanted Trump to win he would have said it differently. He protects himself from criticism, that’s about it.

Sounds like some in the deep state are reluctantly admitting a mistake. A day late and a dollar short.
