Following an eight-month investigation, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (Maine DEA) on Friday announced the arrest of a Biddeford man on multiple drug trafficking charges and the seizure of more than $300,000 in fentanyl.

Almuntadhar M. Mohammed, 24, of Biddeford, was arrested without incident on Wednesday afternoon after he arrived at a Saco business parking lot to deliver fentanyl to an undercover agent, the Maine DEA said.

Mohammed was charged on outstanding warrants for two counts of unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs, and unlawful aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs, related to multiple undercover purchases of fentanyl from Mohammed made by agents over the course of their investigation.

The Maine DEA said that for the past eight months, agents from the Cumberland and York District Task Forces conducted an investigation into the illegal trafficking of drugs by Mohammed.

The agency said their investigation revealed that Mohammed purchased large amounts of fentanyl from out of state sources of supply, repackaged the fentanyl into various dose amounts with he sold throughout Southern Maine.

Following his Wednesday arrest, Mohammed was transported to the York County Jail, where he was later bailed for the sum of $7,500.

A subsequent search of Mohammed’s apartment at 21 Ray Street in Biddeford resulted in the seizure of over seven pounds (3381 grams) of fentanyl, a loaded handgun, $2,500 in suspected drug proceeds, and other items indicative of drug trafficking, Maine DEA said.

According to the Maine DEA, the estimated street value of the drugs seized is worth more than $300,000.

Just two milligrams of fentanyl is capable of supplying a potentially lethal dose, meaning Mohammed was in possession of enough fentanyl to kill over 1.5 million people.

Due to the evidence seized during the search of the Biddeford apartment, the Maine DEA on Thursday were granted additional arrest warrants for Mohammed, charging him with five counts of unlawful aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs.

Mohammed was arrested for the second time by agents in Saco and transported to the York County Jail, where his bail was set at $100,000.

The Maine DEA were assisted in their investigation by officers and agents from the South Portland, Portland, Scarborough, Saco, and Biddeford Police Departments, as well as troopers from the Maine State Police.

    Mohammed strikes again!!

Thank a Maine Democrat, beit a legislator or voter, social justice warriors are front and center, out to destroy our State, transforming it into all things Communist! You see it already in altered or newly created laws, under this current governor. To destroy the State, she’s creating, to name only a few examples, a weak infrastructure using illegal immigration to proliferate massive housing issues; impotant law enforcement allowing law breakers to repeat and repeat their crimes; creating a never ending drug use problem where the population is kept at constant mind numb levels, but easier to control; lowest adult illiteracy and, along with that our schools are rated THE worst in the Country; the medical situation is in full decay, too. The Mills Marxist machine wants Mainers to beg for the government to fix it all for us. Yup, not going to happen because Mainers will massively vote that ugly ilk out! Shame on their lot!

Another Mohammed contributing to cultural enrichment.

The Hijra (after the first one in 622AD): emigrate, colonize and proselytize for Islam, per the ProMo himself.

“The agency said their investigation revealed that Mohammed purchased large amounts of fentanyl from out of state sources of supply, repackaged the fentanyl into various dose amounts with he sold throughout Southern Maine.” And the Maine authorities allowed this to continue for 8 MONTHS before they busted this criminal? Did some of the fentanyl he sold during this 8 Months kill any of his Maine “customers”?

Where is the DEA Central Maine Task force? Let’s just start with Water Street in Augusta, Maine. There is no one who will stop the dealings drug lords like Mohammed, including two restaurant owners who have killed multiple young people in our area with “Hot Shots”! Owe your dealer too much, dead by dosing with powerful fentanyl. Our whole community is stoned. Zombie Land. Good to know Southern Maine is getting busy. Courts should ship those from other countries back to their homelands. DEPORT people and boom they pay attention and skip town. Our judges are so over worked, aged and sick of justice…keep dumping people back on the streets to murder again. I just cannot believe how our cities are being “run” by dealers! The restaurant mentioned above, barely has any customers and people who eat their say it is gross to see workers covered in dirty clothes and filthy hands come up from the downstairs under the bar/restaurant, go to the bar get a drink go outside and smoke and then return downstairs, clearly to cook, package and load shipments of drugs out the back door, down by the river…If you try to park out on Water Street the spaces are all taken with crappy vehicles they use for drug running waiting for said dirty men to bring small packages out to the drivers who wrecklessly(with no licenses) speed away, all over town delivering. For every delivery they must get a prize of drugs, cuz they seem happily high. Not to mention the Bangor Street dealer that has an entire fleet of electric bikes that he has his minions fly around on the sidewalks delivering anything you want but illegal drugs are the prize. I actually saw one of the delivery dudes dropping off in Pittston. Business is great for these bicycle drug dealers, when then get a few minutes they go upto Hannies on Cony Street and buy nips and chips. Bragging to each other about hitting dogs and getting tips for being fast. Heartless industry, and yet these workers are empowered “to be workimg” the trade and know there are no consequences for their dealing death to those in pain. Next how Augusta embraces “Addicts” as political leaders, amazing how they are dying to serve…

Mainers need to wake up! The quality of life in this state is eroding at break neck speed under the Mills administration and her leftist legislative minions. November is the time for ‘on the fence’ Mainers to show up at the polls and vote for a return to common sense and Maine values.

Although the article did not disclose whether the perp is an illegal, his name, Mohammed, would suggest that he is definitely not a native of York County! Thank you Gov. Mills for wanting to bring in 75,000 more unvetted immigrants! Surely they will hasten your plan to use our tax dollars to destroy our beloved state and the quality of our lives!

Finally, I stand with the comment by ‘sandy feet’ when she asks about the Saco shooters. I too wonder why, after vehicles and blood samples were found, there have yet to be any arrests or updates!?!

Born and raised in Maine I take it.. Why did they take so long busting him, allowing him to distribute narcotics for 8 months..How many people died from fentanyl in that time period..
