Gov. Janet Mills (D) announced a temporary replacement for Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Commissioner Jeanne Lambrew, who announced her resignation earlier this month.

Lambrew will be replaced by current deputy commissioner Sara Gagné-Holmes, who will take on the role of acting commissioner until a permanent replacement is found.

“Deputy Commissioner Gagné-Holmes brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, as well as the respect of her colleagues, to the position of Acting Commissioner,” said Gov. Mills. “Having served as Deputy Commissioner for more than five years, she deeply understands the operations of the Department and will ensure that it remains in capable hands as I continue to consider candidates to succeed Commissioner Lambrew.”

Lambrew is leaving to take a job at the liberal Century Foundation as the Director of Health Care Reform, as well as taking a teaching position at Harvard.

Her temporary replacement, Gagné-Holmes, has lived and worked in Maine for her whole life, and has previously served as a law clerk in Maine’s Supreme Judicial Court, and as a health policy advisor in the Governor’s Office in the early 2000s.

She has also previously worked for the Maine Equal Justice Partners, a non-profit which has received funding from the left-wing dark money group Arabella Advisors.

While Gagné-Holmes was deputy commissioner of the DHHS under Lambrew, the department saw a drastic decline in the quality of child welfare services, and saw a significant increase in child deaths in cases with DHHS involvement over previous years.

It is unclear how long Gagné-Holmes will serve as acting commissioner before Mills finds a replacement whom she deems suitable.

When Mills does eventually choose a replacement, the replacement will be subject to a confirmation hearing in the Committee on Health and Human Services, and the confirmation will be decided by a vote in the legislature.

Miss Gagne dash Holmes fits in well with our leftist Governess: “She has also previously worked for the Maine Equal Justice Partners, a non-profit which has received funding from the left-wing dark money group Arabella Advisors.”

Evidently Lambrew is failing upward. A good fit for Harvard. Now we get another Soros puppet. Thanks Janet.

After slithering from the disaster that is Maine HHS, Lambrew fails upward into the hotbed of anti-Semitism that is the “ivy league”. After botching things at Harvar for a while, I can see a cabinet-level position for her in the next Democrat administration.

One leftist hack replaces another leftist hack. Government at its best!

Oh great a hyphenated name… nothing says I’m a liberal more than a 2 last names

So one murderous hack replaced by another, both should be held accountable for the incompetence that cause the deaths of so many children! This seems to be standard operating procedure for leftist flunkies, screw up so bad that you have to beat feet before there is a call for your head! These two are a great example of why society suffers under leftist regime socially as well as financially!
