Thousands of Plants Seized During Raids of Illegal Marijuana Grows in Piscataquis County

Thousands of marijuana plants were seized during raids on two properties suspected to be illicit marijuana growing operations in Piscataquis County, the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

On Monday, May 13, the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants on two properties suspected to be operating as illegal marijuana grows.

The first search warrant was executed on a property in Milo, Maine, and resulted in the seizure of 2,200 marijuana plants.

The second warrant was executed in the Town of Brownville where 660 plants where confiscated.

No arrests where made as a result of the busts, and the cases remain under investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Milo Police Department, Office of Cannabis Policy, Homeland Security, and the DEA.

After Monday’s raids, the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office has executed ten search warrants on illicit marijuana grows since February 9, 2024, and has confiscated approximately 12,300 plants, and 216 pounds of processed marijuana.

All of the locations were previously known to the Maine Wire.
