Hunter Biden, a convicted felon and recovering drug addict, has been attending meetings with President Joe Biden, which has reportedly left White House staffers baffled and displeased.

Hunter’s presence at meetings with top aides was initially reported by NBC, which spoke to four White House staffers, and was confirmed publicly on Tuesday by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“Hunter came back with him and walked with him into that meeting, that prep, that speech prep, and you know, and he ended up spending time with his dad and his family that night,” said Jean-Pierre, “That is basically what happened.”

According to reports from Jean-Pierre, Hunter began spending more time with his father last weekend, as the Biden family stayed at Camp David following President Biden’s catastrophic debate performance.

While staying at Camp David, Hunter and the other Bidens reportedly urged the president to stay in the race, despite numerous calls from Democrat politicians and liberal media outlets that he step down.

The meeting garnered significant media attention as President Biden prepared to deliver a brief address, during which he criticized the Supreme Court for granting immunity to presidents for their official actions.

It is unclear what Hunter’s role has been in the meetings, whether he has been advising the President or simply providing “moral support,” as was suggested by Jean-Pierre.

According to the NBC report, however, Hunter has been speaking with top advisors, suggesting that his role is more than simply providing moral support.

Jean-Pierre confirmed that Hunter intends to continue to stay with his father at the White House at least through this week, although she did not say whether he plans to stop attending meetings after the week ends.
