The president’s son, Hunter Biden, was convicted Tuesday of all three felony charges related to his purchase of a revolver in 2018, when prosecutors claimed he lied to a firearm dealer by stating on a form he was not using or addicted to illegal drugs.
The federal jury, after about three hours of deliberation over two days, found the first son guilty of lying to a federally licensed firearm dealer, making a false claim on the mandatory gun-purchase form by saying he was not using narcotics and being illegally in possession of the gun for 11 days.
Hunter Biden, 54, now faces a sentence of up to 25 years in prison, though as a first-time offender he is unlikely to receive the maximum sentence. Judge Maryellen Noreika did not set a sentencing date.

As the guilty on all counts verdict was handed down in the Wilmington, Delaware federal court, Hunter Biden showed little emotion, hugged his attorneys and kissed his wife Melissa, before leaving the courthouse without speaking to reporters, the Associated Press reported.
First Lady Jill Biden was not present when the verdict was read, but arrived at the courthouse shortly after and departed with Hunter and his wife, according to AP.
Weighing in on his son’s conviction in a Tuesday statement, President Joe Biden stated that he would accept the outcome of the case and “will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal.”
“Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that,” the president stated.
During the trial, jurors heard testimony from Hunter Biden’s ex-wife and former girlfriend regarding his addiction to crack cocaine, and were presented with a video of the president’s son weighing crack on a scale.
Biden’s defense team argued that he due to his completion of a rehabilitation program in August 2018, Biden did not consider himself an “addict” at the time that he purchased the revolver.

As the political fallout of Hunter Biden’s conviction remains unclear, former President Donald Trump — himself recently found guilty on 34 felony counts in the New York “hush money” case — on Tuesday released a statement regarding the guilty verdict, calling Hunter Biden a “terrible person who has funneled millions of dollars from other countries to his father.”
“Even so, it is hard to blame him for wanting a gun, which he has a God-given right to have under the 2nd Amendment,” Trump stated. “Probably the greatest Amendment of them all, if we’re being totally honest.”
“His father, one of our worst presidents, is more concerned with making the gun control people happy, so he won’t have the courage to step in here and help Hunter,” the former commander-in chief added. “Don’t worry Joe – I will Save you son after I get elected (for the third time)!”
He should be sentenced August 15th, 4 days before the start of the DEMONcratic National Convention. What is the demon crats favorite chant these past few weeks? “LOCK HIM UP!”
Neither crack head biden* nor President Trump have been convicted of a felony. A jury can find you guilty, however, you are not convicted until sentencing. Neither one of them are felons. Yet.
