Report Claims Biden Could Drop Out of Presidential Race as Soon as This Weekend; Campaign Denies

A new report from Axios, which spoke with “several top Democrats,” suggests that President Joe Biden is likely to drop out of the presidential race and might announce the decision as early as this weekend.

“The 81-year-old president, now self-isolating with COVID, remains publicly dug in. But privately he’s resigned to mounting pressure, bad polls, and untenable scrutiny making it impossible to continue his campaign, the Democrats tell us,” said Axios.

The Democrats who spoke to Axios believe that, despite President Biden’s claims that he plans to remain in the race, he has begun to succumb to pressure from advisors and friends who fear that he has no chance of defeating former President Donald Trump in November.

Democrats close to Biden told Axios that Biden has become less stubborn about remaining in the race in recent days and claimed that they now believe there is only a question of “when,” not “if,” Biden will step down as the Democrat nominee.

Although a spokesperson for the Biden campaign has denied the speculation, the rumor is yet another blow to the incumbent Democrat’s credibility as the party’s standard bearer heading into the 2024 presidential election against an increasingly popular Republican nominee.

The Axios article comes as, in recent days and following the assassination attempt on President Trump, numerous high-profile Democrats have called on Biden to step down.

According to a source who spoke to ABC News, Senate President Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) met with Biden on Saturday, the same day that Trump was shot, and urged him to step down.

Sen. Schumer’s spokesman later called ABC’s report “idle speculation” but refused to outright deny that Schumer believes Biden should step down.

Another report suggested that in recent days, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who previously served as Speaker of the House, has also called on Biden to step down, although she has publicly maintained her support for the president, and her aides refused to comment on the issue.

Following the failed assassination attempt, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) publicly called for Biden to step down because he does not believe that he can defeat Trump.

“A second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the President can defeat Donald Trump in November,” said Schiff, calling on Biden to “pass the torch” to another Democrat.

Sources recently informed the Washington Post that even former President Barack Obama, who has publicly supported Biden following his disastrous debate performance, has privately called on Biden to seriously consider stepping down.

The former president declined to comment on the allegations.

Amid growing calls for Biden to step down, a poll conducted by the Associated Press-NORC Center was released, showing that 65 percent of Democrat voters believe that Biden should step down.

Currently, Biden is sequestered in Delaware following a positive COVID test, and it is unclear how long he intends to remain there.

And true to her sycophant worship of the worst president in American history, Toady Mills was out supporting the rotting corpse Biden, knowing full well he will never be the Democrat’s nominee.
After tonight it’s clear to everyone, Biden is done and Trump WILL BE our next President!

Biden has no place in America’s future!
    Biden represents a disastrous past.
It’s time for America to move past the incompetence of Joe Biden.
    America’s future is MAGA!
    America’s future is Donald Trump!
And Maine’s future is NOT Toady Mills!

All the dems quoted in this article are recommending the senile old coot resign because he won’t win the election. No mention that it would be best for the country and its people. They don’t really care about that. Gotta maintain power at all costs.

Why is the Maine Wire taking “information” from axios which was formed and led by the following men from the Left Wing “Politico”, “ former Politico journalists Jim VandeHei, Mike Allen, and Roy Schwartz.”?

If he’s mentally unfit to run then he is unfit to lead. He needs to resign now for the good of the country. This is dangerous. Our enemies are taking note.

So the same people who claim Trump is a threat to their democracy are tossing democracy out the window to save democracy? And just think of a Harris presidency….
