Police say that at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday, they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Blake Street.

Police identified a passenger in the vehicle as 33-year-old Devin Charest.

According to Lewiston Police, Charest is a previously convicted felon with an “extensive criminal history,” and was out on bail conditions at the time of the traffic stop.

A bail search was conducted on the vehicle, which led to the discovery of a “substantial quantity” of cocaine base (crack cocaine), methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl, police said.

A sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun was also found in the vehicle. Due to a previous felony conviction, Charest is prohibited from legally possessing firearms.

Janet dreams of becoming mini California. She wakes to the sound of gunfire and sirens and thinks “you know by-golly maybe today will be the day” She checks her list, record number of homeless people, check. Chinese drug houses, check. Teenage immigrants roaming the streets with guns, check. Neutering children because gosh-darn-it they know what’s best, check. Oh so close but not today janet, not today.

Why do felons far and wide (Mass) end up in Lewiston? It’s just one big perp magnet, always was and always will be.Nobody ever admits to being from there. They always say they are from Auburn.
