A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection to a Tuesday shooting on Bartlett Street in Lewiston.

Lewiston Police announced on Thursday that they have charged a 15-year-old male with reckless conduct with a firearm as a result of their investigation into an April 22 shots fired complaint at 188 Bartlett St.

On Tuesday, Lewiston Police responded to 188 Bartlett St. to a report of several several gunshots.

Officers who responded to the scene found that an apartment at 176 Bartlett St. had been struck by a bullet.

Police say there were no injuries reported in either incident.

The shooting was one of a pair of shots fired incidents that occurred within two days of each other on the same street this week.

Police say the juvenile suspect was transported to Long Creek Youth Development Center, where he remains in custody.

The investigation into the shooting remains active, and more arrests are expected, police said.

No pic of the kid, no name, no mention of citizenship. Just a mention that he is temporarly, at tax pay expense, bunking at some sort of Maine State camp for hoodlums.

Unfortunately, this “teen” will not get the punishment needed to deter this conduct. Maines juvenile justice system is broken. I would check his juvenile record, which will probably show the State has already tried to “save” him. Ferral kids need jail not services.
