Maine Democrats Mistakenly Give GOP Gubernatorial Opponent A Free Ad. Oops!

Democrat leaders called a news conference to criticize Bobby Charles – but ended up with a major-league PR gaffe.

Charles, the Republican candidate for governor, can thank his opponents for prominently displaying not only his name but also his picture on their lectern.

“MAGA Extremist Bobby Charles” was the sign the Democrats mounted on the front of the podium for their news conference.

They were actually trying to call attention to what they don’t like about his policies for senior health care.

But instead they gave him a free ad.

If their choice is Hannah Pingree for seniors, why didn’t they mount Hannah’s mug on their lectern?

Almost as hard to explain as their featuring Nirav Shah at their news conference to help promote Charles.

Shah for his part of the media circus said that “This is why it is more important than ever that Bobby Charles not be let anywhere near the Blaine House.”

Shah, let the record show, got nowhere near the Blaine House – not by his choice but by the voters’, who chose Pingree instead.

The former alleged director of the Center for Disease Control wasn’t done with self-immolation, failing a subsequent effort to get elected to the U.S. Senate.

So Dems not only helped promote Republican Bobby Charles at their latest dog-and-pony show, but as one of their featured speakers they couldn’t have chosen a more flawed representative of their efforts to defeat Charles.

I guess I just don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want their country to be great. Their thought programing is way stronger than I would have ever thought possible. I use to get irritated when people would say, write disparaging things about others who love their country, now I just feel sorry for them. Its like watching a dog chasing cars.
