An investigation into a string of over 20 package thefts from a Westbrook senior citizen living facility has led to the arrest of two suspects, police announced Thursday.

Westbrook Police say that they have been investigating over 20 recent reports of packages being stolen from the senior living facility.

As a result of their investigation, Westbrook Police on Tuesday executed a search warrant at the residence of the individuals suspected of being behind the thefts.

Police say the search of the residence led to the arrest of the two suspects and the recovery of stolen items from the facility, including some stolen packages that contained medication.

“One of the stolen packages was insulin for a diabetic patient,” Westbrook Police said in their Thursday press release.

“That patient had just run out of insulin, and thankfully we recovered their stolen insulin and were able to deliver it to them,” they said.

Arrested was 52-year-old Patricia Gillis and 57-year-old Charles Tibbetts.

Police say Tibbetts was arrested on an arrest warrant, and Gillis was charged with theft and violating conditions of release.

More theft charges against the pair are expected as detectives sort through the recovered stolen packages.

Cumberland County Jail booking records indicate that as of Thursday afternoon Tibbetts has been released from jail, while Gillis remains in custody.

Patricia is a scary looking woman! Anyone my age that’s lived in Maine since the 1970’s must be as stunned as I am by the devolution of society here. These are faces of drug addiction, hopelessness, and ruination that affects us all via crime, the taxes we pay to keep the walking dead alive, and the loss of the American dream for the walking dead as well as those of us that enable them via taxes paid to keep these people living a life of subsistence. . All courtesy of Democratic party control of Maine.

Without excusing the fact that these two are thieves, they are the very people we should be helping with legitimate treatment instead of spending so much of our tax dollars on “New Mainers”, full-term abortions and sexually mutilating children.
