Shots Fired Report at Ogunquit Inn Housing 20 Noncitizen ‘Scholar’ Visa Holders Leads to Seizure of 3 Firearms

Law enforcement seized three firearms from an Ogunquit inn housing 20 noncitizen “scholar” visa holders after a report of shots fired led to an hours-long shutdown of part of Route 1, according the Ogunquit Police Department.

Police say that at approximately 3:50 a.m. on Monday, the Wells Emergency Dispatch Center received a report of shots fired at the Hideaway Inn, located at 67 Main St. in Ogunquit.

Officers from the Ogunquit, Wells and York Police Departments responded to the scene, and upon arrival encountered a group of people outside who fled to inside of the inn upon seeing law enforcement, police said.

Police say that attempts to establish communication with the people inside of the inn were unsuccessful, and that there was no response to phone calls or commands from the officers on scene — prompting police to call in the Southern Maine Response Team for assistance.

As a precautionary measure, police put out an advisory asking residents to avoid the area and to lock their doors while authorities investigated the reported shots fired.

Ogunquit Police Chief John Lizanecz told WMTW that responding officers were met with “cultural barriers” as the Hideaway Inn has been operating as a dormitory, housing about 20 J-1 visa holders.

“This was a party that happened last night,” Lizanecz told WMTW. “We have found remnants of fireworks outside and all the people involved are being relatively cooperative with us.”

The J-1 visa classification refers to noncitizen “exchange visitors” who are in the U.S. for an approved program, such as for teaching, studying, conducting research, or receiving training.

According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigrant Services (USCIS), the designation can include noncitizen “professors or scholars,” research assistants, students, au pairs, camp counselors, and more.

At about 11 a.m. on Monday, Ogunquit Police put out an update stating that the incident had been resolved, and that Rt. 1 had been fully reopened.

However, the incident led to Ogunquit Town Hall remaining closed for the entire day, as it was being used by police and “to support those displaced,” the department said in a Facebook post.

In a follow-up press release issued later Monday afternoon, Ogunquit Police said that officers on scene were eventually able to establish contact with the people inside the inn, leading to a “peaceful resolution.”

As a result of the investigation, police seized two handguns and one rifle from the Hideaway Inn property, along with shell casings.

Police said that no injuries were reported in relation to the incident.

“The Ogunquit Police Department would like to reassure the public that there is no ongoing threat related to this incident,” they stated. “However, the matter remains under investigation.”

No arrests were announced in connection to the incident.

It would appear that these fire armed people at the “Hideaway Inn” are some of Governess Mills “new Mainers” who do not speak English. I am sorry that the author did not tell us why these people are in the U S of A, why they were “partying” with fire works and fire arms at 3:50in the morning on a workday, and who is paying their freight.

If you looked up the definition of politician in the dictionary it would read: “Create problems that didn’t previously exist and then make the taxpayer foot the bill to clean up the mess that they themselves created.”

I think it ironic that in the country that these people are from they kill homosexuals on sight. I’m wondering if that’s mills plan, plant the seed now then later watch them cleanse Ogunquit. It obvious mills hates homosexuals, why would they/them support her?

Just another bag of sh*t the Harris/Biden admin has dumped onto the country and people of Maine.
Questions:

  1. Who’s paying their hotel fees for them to stay there?
  2. What non profit is responsible for bringing them here?

Anyone who votes for any democrat this election support this criminality and also condones 100,000+ children trafficked for labor and sex, Joe Biden showering with his pre teen daughter, proclaiming trans day on Easter Sunday, 92% of Kamalas staff have quit, etc…

Why not have them staying at the North Haven Inn on beautiful North Haven Island, home of Rochelle Marie Johnson (aka Chellie Pingree, from Minneapolis, Mn). She’s a big fan of illegal immigration because of “Maine’s aging work force”.
