The South Portland Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred late Sunday night at an apartment complex.

Police responded to the Redbank Village apartment complex in South Portland after receiving several calls reporting gunshots.

Upon arrival at the scene, police identified 98 Wainwright Circle West as the residence that shots were fired into.

Officers found that several bullets had penetrated the apartment’s front door and embedded in the living room wall of the apartment.

Several shell casings were found on the street in front of the residence.

Police say that no one was injured in the shooting, and that the investigation into the incident remains active.

While no arrests have yet been made, police identified a vehicle in association with the shooting after canvassing for witnesses and reviewing security camera footage.

Police released a picture of the vehicle, which they described as a light colored 4-door hatchback.
