An Auburn man who was out on bail conditions stemming from an October arrest on drug trafficking and firearms charges was arrested again on Wednesday after being found with crack cocaine during a traffic stop, Auburn Police announced Thursday morning.

Auburn Police say they have been investigating reports into ongoing drug trafficking being committed by 39-year-old Jose Mota of Auburn.

In October, Mota was arrested on felony drug trafficking and firearm charges after police executed multiple search warrants.

The Auburn Police Proactive Community Enforcement (PACE) Unit received a tip on Wednesday that Mota, who was out on bail conditions from his October arrest, was on his was to conduct a drug sale.

Officers found Mota driving on Mount Auburn Avenue near the Auburn Walmart Supercenter, and initiated a traffic stop and bail compliance search.

During the search, police seized 37.2 grams of cocaine base (crack cocaine) from Mota.

Mota was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, Class A, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, Class B and violation of conditions of release, Class E.

Mota is being held at the Androscoggin Jail without bail due to his violation of bail conditions for the prior felony charges.

He is expected to make an initial appearance before a judge on Friday, Jan. 24.

Why are all of these lowlifes ALWAYS out on bail ?
THAT seems to be the recurrent theme that we read here .
Just maybe it’s time for some new judges for sure .
Build more jails and prisons .
This habitual offender nonsense is getting way way way out of control .
George Soros ‘ money runs deep in Maine .

Governor you have failed again. In addition to Leweston send a few more cops to Auburn, the high class side of the river, to help control those much hated guns(not people) you democrats rail about.

Let Tom Homan have him. These criminals are deliberately released to continue to terrorize the public and our
society. Every stroke of trauma distributed throughout our communities
by these illegal alien criminal thugs is designed to normalize these CRIMES IN AMERICA.
