Two people are dead after a tractor-trailer crashed through a median and hit two vehicles on the Maine Turnpike in Ogunquit early on Thursday.

Xiaoying Ma, 35, of New York City was driving a tractor-trailer north on Interstate 95, near mile marker 14, at about 6:05 a.m. when he lost control and crashed through the median guardrail onto the southbound side of the highway, where his truck struck two vehicles, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Ma first hit a Cadillac sedan driven by 64-year-old Linda Huelsman of Kennebunk and then a Mack box truck driven by 55-year-old Brian Ellis of Kittery, Moss said.

Huelsman died at the scene, while Ellis was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The tractor-trailer was owned by EW Logistics of Hauppage, New York, and the box truck was owned by EAN Holdings of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Moss said that weather is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, and the York County District Attorney’s office will review the investigation to determine whether any criminal charges will be filed.

Knowing the drivers I normally get from NY or NJ many of them, English isn’t even an available language and wouldn’t be surprised to know they’re not legal.

Xiaoying Ma, may have an illegals license. New York gives illegals drivers licenses as part of democratic sanctuary State plan. Does our police know were this person comes from, if he is a citizen of America, and maybe he was picking up weed. The old Governor would know, but this one is dumb.

The Triad weed smuggling theory on this crash is probably correct, but given that the truck was traveling northbound when it crossed the median and crashed indicates that it was probably empty and on the way to pick up a load. The State Police need to follow up and determine if this driver is here legally, if the Driver’s License for the rig is valid, what the destination and load manifest was supposed to be, and if this EW Logistics of Hauppauge, New York is a legitimate business.

If they are smugglers as I suspect they are, they business should be seized along with all property. Roll these people up and cite this case as an example in the charged brought against NY Governor Houchel.
