A Portland man accused of throwing a rock through the window of a motor vehicle was arrested on Sunday and found in possession of a stolen firearm and over 11 grams of cocaine, police announced Monday.

Portland Police say they responded to the area of Chestnut and Oxford Streets shortly after 12 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a rock having been thrown through the window of a motor vehicle.

The suspect, 36-year-old Keon Gaston of Portland, was found by police in the area shortly after the call and was placed under arrest.

Police say Gaston was found in possession of 11.6 grams of cocaine and a stolen handgun.

Gaston was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, illegal possession of a firearm, aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs and violating conditions of release.
