The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into a Monday shooting in Glenburn that left two injured.
The shooting occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on McCarty Road in Glenburn.
Penobscot County deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports of a disorderly incident.
At the scene, deputies found that one individual had sustained a gunshot wound, while another person suffered minor injuries during the incident.
The suspect fled the scene following the shooting.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, an initial investigation indicated that the suspect was known and that the shooting was likely an isolated incident involving familiar parties.
In a press release shared Monday night, the Sheriff’s Office announced that they had identified two persons of interest in connection with the shooting.
The Sheriff’s Office said authorities are exploring several leads, and that a vehicle linked to the suspected shooter had been located in Bangor.
One person of interest was named as 43-year-old Brandon Harvey of Glenburn, who the Sheriff’s Office said should be considered dangerous and should not be approached.
The shooting victim who sustained a gunshot wound was in critical condition being treated at a local hospital as of Monday night. The second individual was treated for minor injuries.
