‘Build A Better Gaza’: White House Releases ‘Comprehensive’ Peace Proposal For Gaza Strip

The White House released their 20-step plan to bring peace to the Gaza Strip Monday, which includes the demilitarization of Hamas and the release of all remaining hostages.

The plan would call on Hamas to release the remaining hostages within 72 hours of agreeing to the plan, while also providing a framework for a gradual Israeli withdrawal and the institution of an Arab authority to govern the territory. However, if Hamas does not agree to the proposal, the U.S. would assist Israel in continuing its military operation in Gaza to wipe out Hamas.

The plan comes after months of failed negotiations to end the conflict between Hamas and Israel, which began on Oct. 7, 2023 when Hamas killed 1,200 people and kidnapped hundreds of others, including American citizens. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Trump Acknowledges Israel Is Losing Control Of Congress)

In place of Hamas, a new “International Stabilization Force (ISF)” would temporarily take over Gaza with the help of Arab partners. The ISF would work to establish a proper “vetted” security force that could govern the area long-term, as Israel has no plans to occupy the strip under the proposal.

The new ISF would be governed by a “Board of Peace,” which would include President Donald Trump in leadership along with Former Prime Minister Tony Blair and other leaders.

Israel would withdraw its troops in accordance with certain milestones, stepping back once all hostages are released then stepping back once more upon the ISF establishment. A small security buffer between Gaza and Israel would be set up inside the border.

“You’ve proven time and again what I’ve said many times — you are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a press conference with President Donald Trump Monday.

No Gazans would be forcibly displaced under the agreement, and the plan encouraged people to stay in order to “offer them the opportunity to build a better Gaza.” The White House has remained confident that Hamas will accept the proposal, with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt saying before the meeting that a deal was “very close.”

“Now it’s time for Hamas to accept the terms of the plan,” Trump said during the press briefing.

The Israeli Embassy in the U.S. did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment. The White House deferred to Trump’s comments.
