A Fairfield drug raid on Saturday led to the arrest of two repeat offenders, including a woman who was arrested previously during an April bust on an outstanding theft warrant.

An investigation led by Fairfield Police Detective Shanna Blodgett culminated in the execution of a search warrant on Six Rod Road.

During the execution of the warrant, police arrested two residents: Aubrey Danforth Jr., 34, of Fairfield, and Melissa Witham, 38, of Fairfield.

Danforth faces charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He is being held on a $50,000 bail.

He was previously arrested on theft charges in 2023.

Witham faces charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and violation of conditions of release. She is being held without bail due to prior charges.

She was arrested in Fairfield in April during another drug bust, and at that time faced charges for failing to appear in court on theft charges.
