A Cape Elizabeth man was arrested Wednesday after police say he fired a gun at a repossession agent who was attempting to take his vehicle.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at 21 Longfellow Drive, where a repossession agent had arrived to collect a vehicle. As the agent was removing the vehicle, police said a man inside the home, identified as 61-year-old Roger Dickinson, fired at least one shot at the tow truck.

According to the report, a woman and a 4-month-old child were inside the truck at the time. No injuries were reported.

Law enforcement surrounded the home, and Dickinson exited after about an hour. He was taken into custody and charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and attempted elevated aggravated assault.

Dickinson is being held at the Cumberland County Jail and is scheduled to be arranged on Friday.
