A Skowhegan man has been nabbed in connection with a series of townwide break-ins at local businesses.

Kyle Lloyd, 25, is also facing additional possible charges, according to Police Chief David Bucknam.

“It’s December and you know what that means?” Bucknam said in his Facebook press release Thursday. “If you said Christmas carols you would be correct.”

“Guess the two carols Lloyd is not singing right now. ‘Me Me Me Me’ I’ll be home for Christmas, you can plan on me. Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree.”

“But wait, there’s more,” Bucknam was quick to add. “There’s the academy award-winning song… ‘Over the river and through the woods, to my ex-girlfriend’s house I go. The cops know the way when you’re running away with your footsteps in the snow’.”

The Skowhegan Police Department wins chops not only arresting an alleged serial burglar, but also for notifying the public of its work in the spirit of the season.
