A Skowhegan man has been nabbed in connection with a series of townwide break-ins at local businesses.

Kyle Lloyd, 25, is also facing additional possible charges, according to Police Chief David Bucknam.

โ€œItโ€™s December and you know what that means?โ€ Bucknam said in his Facebook press release Thursday. โ€œIf you said Christmas carols you would be correct.โ€

โ€œGuess the two carols Lloyd is not singing right now. โ€˜Me Me Me Meโ€™ I’ll be home for Christmas, you can plan on me. Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree.โ€

โ€œBut wait, thereโ€™s more,โ€ Bucknam was quick to add. โ€œThereโ€™s the academy award-winning songโ€ฆ โ€˜Over the river and through the woods, to my ex-girlfriendโ€™s house I go. The cops know the way when youโ€™re running away with your footsteps in the snow’.โ€

The Skowhegan Police Department wins chops not only arresting an alleged serial burglar, but also for notifying the public of its work in the spirit of the season.
