GORHAM, Maine — A 15-year-old has been charged with arson in connection with a fire this week at an abandoned building in Gorham, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Investigators said the fire occurred Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at a vacant structure at 23 Tow Path Road. The Fire Marshal’s Office reported that a joint investigation with Gorham police and fire investigators determined the juvenile entered the building and intentionally set the fire.

The juvenile is charged with Class A arson and was released to the custody of his parents, officials said. Authorities said the juvenile and his parents have been cooperative, and the investigation remains ongoing.
