The New Hampshire State Police arrested a Merrimack woman on Wednesday after she allegedly fled from the police and barricaded herself in her car, following an earlier August arrest for fleeing law enforcement.

The NH State Police responded at approximately 1:06 a.m. to assist local police after a suspicious 2016 Volkswagen GTI was discovered parked near Citizens Bank in Londonderry.
Londonderry officers tried to speak with the vehicle’s operator, Heather Lewis, 34, of Merrimack, but she allegedly fled westbound on Route 102 toward Hudson, NH.
Lewis then pulled into the parking lot of a Circle K gas station on the Londonderry/Hudson town line, and officers from both towns attempted to prevent the vehicle from leaving the parking lot.
Lewis escaped, allegedly driving over an embankment, hitting a guardrail, and driving back onto Route 102 toward Londonderry.
When Lewis entered Interstate 93 northbound, state troopers took over the pursuit from local police. They deployed road spikes to stop Lewis, but they were unsuccessful.
She allegedly traveled onto I-293 and attempted to drive south in the northbound lane.
A state trooper was eventually able to stop Lewis’s vehicle with his cruiser, but she reportedly continued to resist arrest and refused to exit her vehicle.
Law enforcement closed down the interstate for two hours and attempted to negotiate with Lewis.
Negotiations failed, and eventually, law enforcement deployed a K-9 unit and non-lethal munitions before taking Lewis into custody. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
She was charged with multiple counts of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest or detention, criminal mischief, and operating after suspension.

Lewis was previously arrested in August 2025 after she reportedly fled from a traffic stop.
In that case, she was charged with reckless conduct, resisting arrest/detention, criminal mischief, reckless operation, disobeying a police officer, speeding 25+ MPH over the speed limit, and operating without lights.
