A Salem, Massachusetts woman named Katy Place got a DoorDash delivery of 19 pizzas and calzones plus three steak tip salads under the name “Barry K.”
Only one problem – none of it was hers.
Her neighbor’s house got hit too – four boxes of Bonchon chicken meant for the same mystery “Barry.”
Place went on TikTok begging for help finding “Barry” and the video blew up past 100,000 likes, according to an Instagram post.
“Place didn’t just sit on all that food,” the poster later updated. “She called a local homeless shelter, told them it had been sitting outside, and they said they’d still take it. Nothing got wasted while Barry stayed missing.
Update No. 2: “Still no Barry.
“Place says DoorDash is looking into it but she’s lost hope they’ll ever track him down, she’s not even sure he’s real.
”Place is guessing the phantom Barry either got scammed, ran the scam himself or a kid got hold of his phone.”
Whatever happened, she put the order at a thousand dollars worth of food.
The report of the orphan pizzas, steak tips and chicken was also carried on TheMarySue.com.
