At approximately 5:21 p.m., the Bangor Police Department and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Kenyen Tiwo Smith, 51, of New Haven, Connecticut.

During the stop, a K9 Unit conducted a sniff and allegedly indicated the presence of illegal drugs.

Law enforcement searched the vehicle and allegedly seized large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, and suspected fentanyl.

Officers attempted to arrest Smith, who allegedly actively resisted before being subdued and taken into custody.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he faces charges of trafficking in Schedule W drugs, refusal to submit to arrest or detention, and violation of conditions of release.

Coke heads must be pulling out their hair and screaming like crazy banshees with all the cocaine & other drugs being taken off the streets lately.
Just another reason for ICE and other federal agents to come to Maine.
