The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office arrested a Lewiston man on Tuesday after he allegedly started a fire at his Libby Street home in Lewiston.

The suspect, identified as Treven Stoops, 38, of Lewiston, lived at 14 Libby Ave. with his girlfriend at the time of the fire on Monday.
No one was injured, but several pet birds were killed in the blaze.
Following an investigation, the Fire Marshal’s Office found that the fire had allegedly been caused by arson and identified Stoops as the suspect.
Stoops was arrested while already at the Androscoggin County Jail on unrelated charges, and his bail was set at $5,000.




People who start fires and intentionally kill their pets are the worst among us .
I hope he burns in hell .
