Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan unintelligibly shouted at President Donald Trump on Tuesday after he brought up illegal immigration.

Trump asked members of Congress to stand if they agreed that the U.S. has a duty to protect American citizens over foreign nationals. While the president admonished lawmakers who did not stand, Omar and Tlaib angrily shouted over him.

“[Democrats] are blocking the removal of these people out of our country and you should be ashamed of yourself,” Trump said while the congresswomen shouted.

President Trump asked members of Congress to stand if they agree with his statement that the first duty of the U.S. government is to protect American citizens, not those in the country illegally.

Omar has condemned the Trump administration for its crackdown on the widespread fraud in Minnesota, stating in January that there was “no justification” for the federal response. Dozens have defendants, whom as mostly of Somali descent, have been convicted of stealing $9 billion from social service programs.

YouTuber Nick Shirley exposed several Somali-run daycare centers in December for appearing to not truly be in operation despite being funded by taxpayer dollars.

Democrats have expressed disdain toward Trump’s speech, including Democratic Texas Rep. Al Green, who walked around the House floor with a sign that read, “BLACK PEOPLE AREN’T APES.”
