The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) executed two drug-related search warrants in Searsport on Tuesday following a months-long investigation, and arrested five suspects.

On Tuesday, the MDEA applied for search warrants for two Searsport addresses: 22 Homestead Lane and 119 Loop Road.

The warrant request followed a several-months-long investigation in collaboration with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Department and Searsport Police Department into methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking at the two residences.

Prior to obtaining the warrants, investigators conducted multiple undercover purchases of cocaine base and methamphetamine.

Investigators, assisted by the Maine State Police Tactical Team, executed the two warrants early Tuesday morning.

At 119 Loop Road, MDEA agents reportedly seized $4,390 in suspected drug proceeds, 70 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of cocaine, and two firearms.

They arrested the home’s resident, Holly Jo Ward, 42, on charges of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs. She was issued a $750 bail.

Law enforcement also found and arrested Yandril Mateo-Nunez, 20, and Nelkis Alexander Villalona-Perez, 22, both of Lawrence, Massachusetts, on charges of aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs. They were both issued $10,000 bail.

At 22 Homestead Lane, law enforcement allegedly seized 28 firearms and 29 grams of methamphetamine.

As a result of the undercover drug purchases from that location, investigators arrested David Hersom, 65, of Searsport, and Melissa Dyer, 47, of Searsport, both on charges of unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs. Both were issued $2,500 bail.

The MDEA estimates that the street value of the drugs seized during the operation is $12,400.

All suspects were transported to the Waldo County Jail.

The Maine Wire reached out to the Waldo County Jail, which provided booking photos for the suspects.
