AUGUSTA — Federal authorities have sent a warning to California law enforcement of possible offensive drone attacks on the West Coast amid the conflict in Iran, surfacing after Donald Trump recently announced a hemispheric military coalition dedicated to dismantling these criminal enterprises.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) sent a bulletin to police departments in California around late February that advised of a potential surprise attack on the west coast utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) from an unnamed vessel in the pacific ocean. The bulletin first mentioned on X, does not provide further detail as to the timing or specific locations targeted, yet the information coincides with broader intelligence concerns surrounding the Mexican drug cartels’ affiliation with drones.
