The Windham Police Department arrested a man on domestic violence charges on Monday after receiving reports of shots being fired at a local residence.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., police received reports of a disturbance involving someone allegedly shooting at a residence at 5 Cornfield View.

Officers arrived to discover that a single gunshot had been fired during an alleged domestic dispute, and the suspect had allegedly fled into the woods.

Law enforcement established a perimeter, and personnel from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Gorham Police Department, and the Cumberland Police Department responded to assist in the search.

Officers eventually located Chase Beardsley, 20, of 5 Cornfield View, and arrested him without incident.

He was charged with domestic violence threatening, and aggravated reckless conduct.

No one was injured during the incident.

According to business records, Beardsley operates  Beardsley Property Services based at his address.
