U.S. Marshals, Brunswick Police, and the Maine Violent Offender Task Force arrested Roosavelt Boone, 37, on a warrant for a charge of gross sexual assault in Maine.

Boone was arrested at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, a private, sport-focused boarding school.

The arrest came after an investigation into a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in 2024.

Boone is currently being held at the Manatee County Jail in Florida.

Police did not provide any specific information on the alleged sexual assault that led to the charges.

A 2024 Facebook post from the UMaine Bodwell Center revealed that Boone was a former track and football athlete at the school and worked as the assistant class dean at Bowdoin College while also heading a program for schools in Lincoln.
