A small parrot with a taste for adventure has become the internet’s latest fascination.
Bebe, a white‑winged parakeet about six inches long, was filmed drifting beneath the ocean’s surface in a hand‑built miniature submarine.
The footage, which has gathered more than 4 million views on Instagram, is being publicized by NBCMiami.com.
The video “shows the tiny green bird calmly taking in the underwater scenery as the capsule moves through the water,” the TV news outlet reported.
“The vessel, dubbed the Bebesphere by its creator, Steven Lawyer, is a custom plastic chamber fitted with a controlled oxygen system,” NBC 6 South Florida said.
In a follow‑up video, Lawyer held up the device to address speculation about the clip’s authenticity.
“It is completely authentic,” he said. “This is what you saw him in the video – this is the Bebesphere.”
