The Penobscot Sheriff’s Department arrested three suspects in Bradford on Saturday after allegedly discovering a variety of drugs during a traffic stop.

A deputy was conducting routine activity on East Road in Bradford when he initiated a traffic stop for unspecified vehicle violations.
During the stop, the deputy allegedly learned that the driver’s license was suspended and that he was subject to active bail conditions.
The deputy noticed two other people in the vehicle and developed probable cause to initiate a search.
He allegedly discovered over 120 grams of methamphetamine, nearly 15 grams of fentanyl, and six grams of cocaine base.
While detaining the vehicle’s occupants, one of the suspects allegedly attempted to flee while in handcuffs, but he tripped and was immediately apprehended.
All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
Nicholas Mitchell, 36, of Bangor, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in Scheduled W drugs, unlawful possession of Scheduled W drugs, unsworn falsification, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and a staggering 12 counts of violating conditions of release.

Wilbur Babb, 63, of Alton, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs, and violation of conditions of release.

Jennifer Worotnik, 47, of Bangor, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in Scheduled W drugs, and unlawful possession of Scheduled W drugs.
