U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton tore into 80-year-old U.S. Sen. Ed Markey for being too elderly for a third term during their last of three debates before the Democratic primary in less than two weeks.
The two Democrats in the Massachusetts U.S. Senate race squared off Thursday night, Moulton denigrating Markey’s age, Markey hitting his opponent for insulting transsexuals.
When Markey said he wasn’t sure what internet browser he uses on his cellphone, Moulton claimed that makes him too ancient for re-election.
“Senator, if you don’t even know what you’re using on your phone, this is why we need a new generation of leaders to regulate these technologies,” Moulton said.
“I’m more energized than I’ve ever been before,” Markey shot back. “I can do the job.
“I am criss-crossing the state,” he added. “Congressman Moulton has a hard time keeping up with me.”
Moulton, 47, stood listening with an awkward grin on his face, rocking from foot to foot.
Markey went after Moulton for once questioning whether trans athletes should compete on co-ed teams.
“He threw those kids under the bus, turning them into political fodder, demonizing these trans kids,” Markey charged.
“To anyone hurt by my comments, I’m sorry,” Moulton, clearly on the defensive, replied.
When asked by a debate panelist whether boys should be allowed in girls sports, Moulton fumbled, unsure how to answer.

Neither of those smooth-brained woketards should ever be elected to anything.
