According to new data released today by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis, Maine’s personal income growth (pdf) in the second quarter lagged the national average. Maine’s personal income growth was the 36th fastest in the country at 0.9 percent while the nation grew at 1 percent between the first and second quarter of 2012. Maine was also the slowest growing state in New England.
