The bill is just wrong headed. The Feds have no business preventing states from competing for consumer dollars. Taxing sales made in other states is a sneaky move to turn the sales tax into a consumption tax. That’s an appealing notion but before that happens we need to repeal our income tax. States that exercise fiscal responsibility and don’t charge sales tax should enjoy their economic advantage over irresponsible states, especially states that have both sales and income tax!
