Former President Donald Trump says that he will surrender Thursday to authorities in Atlanta, Georgia, to face charges that he formed a criminal racketeering enterprise along with 18 allies in an attempt to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election.

“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Monday.
According to a court document filed Monday afternoon, Trump’s bond has been set at $200,000 — the court set an $80,000 bond for the alleged violation of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, and a $10,000 bond for each of the 12 remaining counts.
Fulton County DA Willis told the 19 defendants named in the indictment that they have until noon on Friday, Aug. 25 to voluntarily surrender.
Trump mocked the prosecutor again on his social media platform after the bond amount was set.
“The failed District Attorney of Fulton County (Atlanta), Fani Willis, insisted on a $200,000 Bond from me,” Trump wrote Monday. “I assume, therefore, that she thought I was a ‘flight’ risk – I’d fly far away, maybe to Russia, Russia, Russia, share a gold domed suite with Vladimir, never to be seen or heard from again.”
“Would I be able to take my very ‘understated’ airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see. Probably not, I’d be much better off flying commercial – I’m sure nobody would recognize me!” he wrote.
The Fulton County case is the fourth criminal case brought against the former president this year, who is now facing a total of 91 criminal charges — 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in Manhattan, 40 felony counts in Florida over his handling of classified documents, four counts related to Jan. 6 and attempting overturning the 2020 election, and most recently the 13 counts in Georgia.

Trump, who has retained and even widened his lead in the 2024 Republican primary amid these indictments, has announced that he will not be attending Wednesday’s first primary debate — reportedly opting to record a sit-down interview with Tucker Carlson for his show on X (formerly Twitter).
