Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton Tells Fox News’ Laura Ingraham to Hide The Fact That 270+ Illegal Marijuana Grows in Maine Are Run by Chinese Organized Crime [VIDEO]

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office has said it is investigating the illegal Marijuana grow facilities that have proliferated throughout northern Maine.

But Sheriff Troy Morton would prefer the media not mention the fact that these facilities are operated by what the Department of Homeland Security describes as Asian Transnational Criminal Organizations (ATCOs).

The Penobscot Sheriff’s department was asked for comment by Fox News for the Laura Ingraham Show in advance of an interview with Steve Robinson, Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Wire.

“I respectfully request that you not indicate that these illegal operations are being operated by any certain demographic,” said Sheriff Morton.

Morton attempted to justify his request that Ingraham ignore that the crimes are being perpetrated by Chinese nationals, some of whom are naturalized U.S. citizens or asylum seekers.

“The issue should remain these are illegal and dangerous operations, not who is operating them,” Morton said.

Robinson disagreed.

“According to the department of Homeland security, some of the money that is generated from this activity is sent back to the People’s Republic of China to fund other illicit activities,” Robinson said.

“So I think the nationality and connections to a hostile foreign government are kind of a big part of the story,” he said.

Robinson went on to condemn the lack of political will in the Maine to deal with the dangerous and highly illegal Chinese crime operation.

The Maine Wire’s investigation into illegal marijuana facilities has uncovered over 100 properties in Maine purchased by Chinese nationals since late 2019, almost all of whom are from New York and Massachusetts.

On Tuesday, local police raided one of the illegal Chinese grow facilities in Wilton at the location of the former Bass Shoe factory. Although law enforcement seized and destroyed over $1,000,000 worth of illicit marijuana, no arrests were made.

    How are there NO ARRESTS????????????????

  2. Maynard on November 30, 2023 3:58 PM

According to the elite journalism of WGME:

“No arrests have been made yet in the case, and Wilton police would not confirm the nationality of the men who leased the building.”

    In the same article:
    “Four Chinese men were arrested.”

“Our media partners at the Bangor Daily News reported one told police, “He is going to be dead.””

Wilton Police Chief Ethan Kyes said. “They had information of an illegal grow…”
“We know who’s been around, but we need to really piece it together and work with OCP to tie it up,” Kyes said.
Also wgme like to refer to The Maine Wire as a “right wing blog”.

The focus of the reporting should be the crime, not the demographics. Do they identify when all the criminals are white?

  5. RickyTickySavvy on December 1, 2023 7:45 AM

…the Chinese illegal grows are too sophisticated and dangerous for Maine’s law enforcement to engage. Safer to stick to the ‘coffee and donut’ crimes like speeding, petty theft and domestics. The whole country has devolved into lawlessness! Great reporting Steve!

  6. Maynard on December 1, 2023 10:08 AM

@Paul. Morning fact checker. The reason, which you knew when posting for virtue, is because it outs law enforcement as totally incompetent and corrupt. The Maine Wire being asked to aid in lying for their worthless ass on national television is evidence they have no real plan and just want the attention to stop otherwise they face public pressure to take action. These people are NOT going to risk their families or life when cartels email the cops home addresses and pictures of their kids at school. The weed grows are here to stay. Besides you potheads wanted to spend all day getting stoned. Why should they suffer for you??

News outlets ALWAYS show a photo when its a white criminal and 98% of non-whites are referred to as “suspect”, “a male”, “group of teens”, “group of males”, “unidentified”, and so on. If the perpetrator is a Muslim or a New Mainer the name its only released if a family member talks to press in defense, or a conservative outlet exposes them. In Maine, any drug or violent offenses committed by Trayquanious or Gonzales tend to also be hidden as long as possible. Facts worth checking.

Maynard, The article you are referring to is talking about two different raids. The four were arrested in the Carmel raid and one of those four said that he would be dead, meaning that his handlers would kill him for getting caught.

In June, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office raided an old chicken barn in Carmel, seizing 3,400 plants and 111 pounds of processed marijuana.

    Four Chinese men were arrested.

Our media partners at the Bangor Daily News reported one told police, “He is going to be dead.”

  8. Maynard on December 1, 2023 1:15 PM

Yes. The raids were separate but the circumstances identical.

“In June, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office raided an old chicken barn in Carmel, seizing 3,400 plants and 111 pounds of processed marijuana.
    Four Chinese men were arrested.”

“The general manager of the property in Wilton says they leased a portion of the building to four men.
… 200 pounds of processed pot worth an estimated $1 million.
No arrests have been made yet in the case, and Wilton police would not confirm the nationality of the men who leased the building.”

The liberal owned media are given orders to cover up corruption by state officials, police, and illegal immigrants and associated dark money endeavours. By including the “4 Chinese men”, they are exposing their handlers to the public. We arent supposed to connect those dots. That owner and cops refused to say the 4 men were Chinese. Why?

Also consider the “Nazi training compound” in Springfield. All the state media, in unison, exposed the story in great detail. They told us who owned it, all about Christopher Pohlhaus, the stores he shopped, background, photos and even did an interview. It was on the front page of every newspaper and discussed in countless tv appearances by officials.
Once the Maine Wire exposed that Democrat fundraiser Fred Ramey was the owner, and Christopher was given a sweetheart plea deal cancelling several felonies the story dropped like a stone and was vaguely referenced but in the context of “extremist”.
They knew about Fred “the fed” Ramey the entire time, but purposefully omitted that fact. The first time Fred was named by wgme and other state media was after the property was sold and the “nazis” departure. And that involved one sentence in a multiple paragraph article focused entirely on Christopher. Why?
    Bonus:
The Moores Road property in Springfield was sold to Li Zuo of Malden, Massachusetts.

Can’t we just do an analysis of energy usage ‘then and now’? Every place where pot is grown has to be paying a fortune for electricity – which must be cheaper here in Maine than in Ghyna.

I’m sure Sherriff Troy Morton would have no problem identifying Irish if they were making bootleg whiskey and moonshine throughout the state.

The only reason the nation of origin becomes important is if there is evidence it’s coordinated by China. Otherwise, it’s just more Fox race-baiting and terrorism. Steve Robinson saying it doesn’t make it evidence or newsworthy. I don’t see any evidence cited saying China is behind this, so maybe stop encouraging violence against Asians this way.

I believe law enforcement knows about most of the illicit drug labs throughout their assigned states but let them operate to keep the federal money rolling in to fund their own paychecks. It’s all a racket, just like Prohibition where business for booze was never better.
