Portland Police say a pair of male teens are responsible for an attempted carjacking and robbery of a 64-year-old woman Thursday on Marginal Way.
Police say they were called to a parking area in the area of 161 Marginal Way in Portland shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.
According to police, a 64-year-old woman was sitting in her car in the parking area when two male juveniles entered her vehicle and threatened her, with one juvenile in the front seat wielding a knife.
The woman was robbed before she exited the car, and when the pair of teens were unsuccessful in their attempts to start and steal the vehicle they fled west on Marginal Way, police said.
Following a three-hour search, the two male juveniles were taken into custody on Oxford Street, charged with robbery, and transported to the Longcreek Youth Development Center.
Portland Police say they believe the two teens have also been involved in other carjackings in the area.
