Trump Plans to Use National Guard and Military to Defend the Country Against Illegal Immigrants

In April, Former President Donald Trump sat down with Time Magazine for a lengthy interview discussing the policies he plans to implement on various issues if he wins re-election.

Among the numerous topics discussed during the interview, the invasion of the U.S. by an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants emerged as a key issue.

President Trump was asked about his plan to institute mass deportations of illegal immigrants and prevent them from re-entering the country.

“I think in terms of the National Guard. But if I thought things were getting out of control, I would have no problem using the military, per se. We have to have safety in our country. We have to have law and order in our country. And whichever gets us there, but I think the National Guard will do the job,” said President Trump.

Trump also highlighted the importance of preventing violent crimes committed by illegal migrants.

“We will absolutely start with the criminals that are coming in. And they’re coming in in numbers that we’ve never seen before. And we do have a new category of crime. It’s called migrant crime. It’s, ugh, you see it all the time. You see it in New York City where they’re having fistfights with police. And far worse than that,” said Trump.

He cited the mass deportations of illegal immigrants carried out in the 1950s by President Dwight Eisenhower, who Trump says was “proficient” at removing illegals, and stopping them from re-entering.

When pushed by the interviewer, Trump revealed that, although he believes that the National Guard will be capable of restoring law and order, he would gladly send in other military forces if necessary.

Trump argued that, although it is illegal to deploy the U.S. military against civilians, the millions of illegal immigrants are not covered under that law, and constitute an invading force rather than a civilian population.

“Well, these aren’t civilians. These are people that aren’t legally in our country. This is an invasion of our country. An invasion like probably no country has ever seen before. They’re coming in by the millions. I believe we have 15 million now. And I think you’ll have 20 million by the time this ends,” said Trump.

In discussing the severity of the situation, Trump highlighted the surge in crime spurred on by illegal immigrants, and pointed to the 29,000 fighting-age Chinese men who illegally entered the U.S. earlier this year, as tensions between the U.S. and China remain high.

The interviewer pressured Trump on whether his deportation plan would require the construction of new “migrant detention camps” to hold illegals preparing to be deported.

The “camps” which currently exist near the border, and which were constructed under the Obama Administration, were used to criticize Trump as cruel and heartless while he was in office.

Trump told the reporter that he does not expect to construct any new facilities because he will be removing the illegals from the country as quickly as possible.

Trump plans to get local law enforcement involved in the deportation measures by granting them immunity from prosecution from the liberal judges and District Attorneys who support illegal immigration.

“I want to give police immunity from prosecution because the liberal groups or the progressive groups, depending on what they want to be called, somewhat liberal, somewhat progressive, but they are—they’re very strong on the fact that they want to leave everybody in,” said Trump.

Currently, Texas is engaged in legal battles with activists who have disputed the legality of a law allowing Texas’ local police departments to detain people entering the country illegally.

The discussion on illegal immigration concluded with a commitment from Trump to finish construction on the border wall, which was a key facet of his campaign in 2016.

Polling suggests that Trump’s strong stance on illegal immigration could prove a significant boon for his re-election chances.

A recent poll conducted by Axios through March and April, showed that a slim majority of Americans support mass deportations like the ones Trump plans to institute if elected.

Following a survey of 6,261 adults, Axios determined that 51 percent of Americans support mass deportations.

The poll collected information from respondents to determine the range of opinions on mass deportation from different demographics.

The poll showed that 68 percent of Republicans and 42 percent of Democrats support mass deportation.

Whites were the most likely to support the measures, with 56 percent support, while 45 percent of Hispanics and 40 percent of blacks had favorable opinions of mass deportation.

Age proved to be a more significant factor in opinions on deportation than race or political affiliation.

While 60 percent of Boomers and 53 percent of Gen X support the deportations, only 48 percent of Millennials and 35 percent of Gen Z.

“While 60 percent of Boomers and 53 percent of Gen X support the deportations, only 48 percent of Millennials and 35 percent of Gen Z.” MAGA supporters don’t live in the Millennial’s or GenZ’s version of reality.

Having spent two weeks with a group featuring Tom Homan in Israel last June, I can assure you that the deportations will take place after Trump is elected.

There is one very quick way to stop all of this. Create a 2 mile wide no go zone along the border. Patrol it with A-10 Warthogs and destroy anything not authorized to be in that zone. Realistic? Of course not, but I bet it would work really well.
