Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey announced Tuesday that he has filed a civil rights complaint against a Harpswell father and son for allegedly vandalizing numerous road signs and roadways with racist and antisemitic messages.

William Deary, 49, and Hayden Deary, 18, are accused of spray-painting antisemitic and racist symbols and phrases in Harpswell, Brunswick, Bath, and Topsham on or about Jan. 7, 2024.

Frey’s complaint alleges that the father and son spray-painted the phrase “Gas Jews” on a Harpswell intersection and on pillars supporting an Route 1 overpass in Bath.

Other alleged vandalism by the Drearys, according to the complaint, include spray-painting swastikas on signs in Brunswick, and the numbers “88” and “14” in Bath.

According to the Maine Attorney General’s Office, Hayden Deary told investigating officers that the number “88” means “Heil Hitler, and the complaint explains that “14” is a white supremacist slogan.

Due to the vandalism, members of a synagogue in Bath feared for their safety and posted an armed police officer during Hebrew School, the Attorney General’s Office stated.

According to the complaint, the father and son admitted to spray-painting the racist symbols and messages.

William Dreary, per the complaint, explained that he was upset about migrants moving to the Cook’s Corner area in Brunswick, and was angry at the Jewish people for promoting the COVID-19 vaccine and sending immigrants in “to clean the white race out,” while Hayden Dreary indicated that he had been frustrated by “mass immigration.”

“These words and symbols, defacing public property, are clearly designed to make people in our community feel unwelcome and unsafe,” Attorney General Frey said Tuesday.

“This behavior by father and son Deary is shocking and reprehensible,” Frey said. “My Office will use the statutory authority provided to confront their bias-based threats.”

Frey is seeking an injunction against the Drearys under the Maine Civil Rights Act to prohibit them from vandalizing public or private property with the intent to broadcast racist or antisemitic messages.

Violation of an injuncting order under the Maine Civil Rights Act is a Class D crime, punishable by up to 364 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Can’t agree with their method but the reasons they stated for doing this are real. There is a jewish cabal at the upper levels of gov’t, business, especially banking, media and education that work quietly but relentlessly to advance their agenda. As for the eradication of the white race, contraception, abortion, women in the workforce vs raising children and massive illegal immigration are all part of the insidious program the cabal use for their purposes to reduce the white especially European population. Go to Gab or UTube and search for- “Europa The Last Battle” and watch. You’ll be surprised.

I take offense that they are listed as Mainers, he’s an out of stater that is living in Harpswell. He’s from Arkansas not a Mainer, just like so many criminals that are in Maine prisons they aren’t Mainers!

Rockland was hit by a blizzard of anti police vandalism and graffiti in 2020. No arrests were ever made. Odd.
