The Portland Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred at a residence on Grant Street just before midnight on Tuesday.

According to police, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 77 Grant St. in Portland shortly before midnight on June 25.

Upon arrival, evidence of a firearm being discharged several times in the area was discovered, including bullet holes found in the glass front door of the residence and a parked vehicle.

No one was injured in the shooting, police said, though several children were in the home at the time of the shooting.

“Six children were present in the home during this incident,” Portland Police Chief Mark Dubois said in a Wednesday statement. “We are fortunate no one was injured, much less killed in this senseless attack.”

Police are asking residents in the area to check their cars and homes to see if they have been struck by gunfire, as well as to check any security cameras they own that could assist with the case.

Investigators are requesting that anyone with information call them at (207) 874-8575.

Shootings are now a regular event in Portland. Portland has turned into the other Portland. Just another liberal failed social experiment. Glad I moved out years ago. Good luck folks.
