Liberal Media Celebrates “Unexpected” Job Opening Growth in May. The Openings Were All Government Jobs

Liberal media outlets have celebrated new data from the Department of Labor (DOL) that showed an unexpected growth in job openings in May.

The new data followed a downward revision of April’s numbers, which placed that month at a 3-year low for job openings.

Media outlets such as CNN celebrated the announcement as a victory for job market resilience, but data show that growth in job openings for the month was driven almost entirely by government jobs.

“This is how the Biden Department of Labor is fudging the data now: all job openings are government,” said news and financial outlet ZeroHedge on X.

The DOL claimed that job openings grew from 7.92 million in April to 8.14 million in May.

Typically, a high number of job openings is considered a good sign for the job market and economy, suggesting that employers have money to hire new workers and providing more opportunities for the unemployed.

The vast majority of the job openings in May, though — 179,000 total positions — were government jobs. Those jobs will be paid for either through new debt or additional taxes collected from the private sector. Far from adding to the economy, government jobs place a burden on taxpayers, whose money then goes to paying additional government salaries.

Private sector job openings saw only a slight increase from their April numbers and remained low.

Those already low numbers, largely derived from estimates, could be revised down once again, which has been a common trait among apparently positive data under the Biden Administration.

In 2023, the Biden Administration overreported job data almost every month, painting a positive picture of the economy, only to see the numbers later revised down.

August jobs revised down by 62,000, from +227K to +165K

September was revised down by 39,000, from +336K to +297K

Trump was president for four years.
Anyone know what policies his administration had that were heinous?
Fuel too cheap? He didn’t let in in millions of illegal aliens? People didn’t like low interest rates? Groceries weren’t expensive enough?

Tell the media WE MADE JOBS ……then a week later when no one is listening …lower the numbers .
This administration ( the worst in history ) lies about EVERYTHING .Everything .
Just what we need is more democrat appointees, and more no consequence , do nothing jobs , from drones who will vote for Biden in order to keep their jobs .
What is happening here in Maine is just a small snapshot of the incompetence of our current democrat party rulers. These people suck and need to get voted out in November . Biden is going to allow 350,000 illiterate Haitians “ to stay “ in the US because they have destroyed their own shit hole country . Janet Mills wants to call them all New Americans and move them into YOUR town .
It just KEEPS GETTING WORSE .
