Less than a day after the shooting, police arrested Dominic Moncada-Sanchez, 19, of Portland, and charged him with aggravated attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault and violating conditions of release.

Police say they took Moncada-Sanchez into custody at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday in South Portland, with the assistance of the South Portland Police Department.

Moncada-Sanchez is accused of shooting a 17-year-old at the Meadowbrook apartment building, located at 1390 Forest Ave.

Portland Police said officers responded to the affordable housing apartment building for a report of shots fired at about 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

Officers at the scene discovered a 17-year-old who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Portland Police said that the juvenile was taken to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but is now in stable condition.

“We’d like to acknowledge the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and South Portland PD for their assistance in making this timely arrest,” Portland Police said in a Wednesday statement.

Moncada-Sanchez is being held at the Cumberland County Jail without bail.

“Portland Police said officers responded to the affordable housing apartment building for a report of shots fired at about 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday.” Isn’t “affordable housing” a euphemism for what we used to call “the projects”?

From today forward Portland shall be known as mills town. It’s a shame what the libs have done to you town, oh well vote better next time. In the meantime were raising your taxes and you might also want to think about bulletproof windows and door reinforcement.

Isn’t the “affordable housing projects” places where the democrats and Catholic Charities house illegal immigrants?
