Two Californians arrested after allegedly stealing $1,836 worth of products from various stores in Seal Beach, California, went viral on Sunday after footage showed them shocked to learn that theft is now a felony in the Golden State.

“That’s a felony,” asked one unnamed suspect, speaking on video in the back of a police cruiser.

“Bitch new laws, stealing is a felony, and this is Orange County bitch, they don’t play that’s why I asked what county it is, that’s where I went to jail last year, and had to, and got on probation for a year for stealing out of Target,” the other woman responded.

Police posted a video on Instagram featuring the song “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” by Nancy Sinatra. The video shows a group of suspects stealing from an Ulta Beauty store and a Kohl’s store, with the amounts stolen from each store flashing on the screen.

They allegedly stole $648 in products from the beauty store and $1,188 worth of goods from Kohl’s.

The video shows police eventually arresting the suspects after a brief, on-foot pursuit. They can then be seen discussing their alleged crimes from the back seat while in police custody.

The law change mentioned by one of the suspects is the passage of California’s new Prop. 36 ballot measure, once again classifying theft as a felony.

The proposition, passed on November 5 with overwhelming support from voters, reversed a 2014 ballot proposition that downgraded various non-violent crimes from felonies to misdemeanors.

Were these two geniuses raised by “right-wing extremists” with those dastardly traditional Judeo-Christian values that the Left detests?

“I went to jail last year, and had to, and got on probation for a year for stealing out of Target,”
And if you had been hung then, you wouldn’t be stealing now.

While you got them in the back of the patrol car run them over to the bus station . Give them a bus ticket up here to Maine . Bangor , Lewiston and Portland are ALL looking for qualified welfare deadbeats to join city government . These two will fit right in . Maybe they could start a state funded political action committee or another immigrant assistance non profit .Janet Mills is always looking for some more New Mainers ! LOL

We all collectively pay higher prices due to theft from businesses. I went to the local Home Depot and many power tools and other merchandise were under gated lock and key. This is Maine or it used to be before liberal leadership and bleeding heart DA’s started reinterpreting the law to fit to their ideological viewpoints. Actions always have consequences and that applies to everyone.

Last year the democrats tried to pass a law similar to CA’s but for half the amount that gave thieves the ability to steal with only a soft slap on the wrist. We must vote these democrat leaders including Mills out of office.

You can see how your reps vote by going to the state govt site. See what you voted for…
